Introduction

The project is a component of the overall infrastructure and institutional capacity-building efforts being pursued under the I.T. Policy and action. The Project will enhance the capacity of the Industries, Commerce & Technical Education Department in the process of planning and evidence-based decision-making.

The Information Management & Analysis Unit will perform the following functions;

1. Develop Integrated Management Information System for Industries Department.

2. Digitization apparatus development for facilitating existing statistics, information, and projects (intended for databasing). Proper utilization of digital technologies and data for escalating output, structural processes that create value, and a digital business environment.

3. Provide Technical assistance to the Industries secretariat for the implementation of IT-based interventions introduced by the government from time to time.

4. Automation of all possible tasks at IC&TE, DGIC, and GPP and integration with existing MIS working in KP-EZDMC, KP-SIDB, KP-TEVTA, KP-BoIT, UoT, TTB, and BTE.

5. Development of Dynamic Websites & Mobile App for IC&TE, Directorate General of Industries, Courts & Printing Press become a credible source of information.

6. Tracking on Quantifiable Performance Indicators (QPIs).

7. Tracking implementation of sectoral reforms through IT-based solutions in industries departments, their attached departments, and allied institutions;

8. To assist implementation of e-governance as per the policy of the Provincial Government and also enables industrial enterprises to elevate efficiency and productivity.

9. Undertake performance management through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

10. Assist the planning wing of the department in data provision and management for efficient and effective use in the planning process.
