It is great honor to lead University of Technology (UoT), which is the first Public Sector University of Nowshera district, with an aim to make it vibrant and productive institution. The engine-of-growth across the globe has clearly shifted from natural resources to knowledge driven economy where Technological education is key source. University of Technology (UoT), Nowshera, is a place for those who want to pursue higher education and career as technologist. Bachelor’s program has been started in six disciplines. We plan to start Master’s program as well. UoT, Nowshera, is a Public Sector Technology University where 70% time will be spent by the students in the laboratories or in the field, and 30% time in the class rooms. We have well equipped laboratories, where technical knowledge is transferred to the students. These students will have marketable skills and readily find gainful employment. UoT, Nowshera is in its infancy, but there is a tremendous support from the government for this initiative that the university has already been asked to establish campuses in Swabi and Charsadda Districts, which will take start with new Technologies shortly. The heart of a University its Faculty and Administrative staff. Along with their normal duties and responsibilities, these pioneering men and women are driven by passion to bring out dream of world-class Technology University to reality, and I appreciate their spirit, commitment and exuberance.
